Is Kobe Bryant the Greatest Basketball Player of all time?

Before I begin let me say that I am in NO Way shape or form a Laker Fan…In fact Quite the opposite.
I am a Golden State Warriors fan, and outside the Clippers we have been the laughing stock of the NBA for quite some time now.

So, Is Kobe the G.O.A.T?kobe_bryant
In one word, NO.

So if Kobe isn’t the G.O.A.T Is Michael Jordan the greatest of All Time? michael_jordan

NO.

These players are the greatest SWING-MEN of their ERAS…in the time they were playing they were the best to do it.

The fact of the matter is, that if you scheduled a one on one game between a Prime Kobe, and a Prime Jordan and (not even in his prime yet ) LeBron James.

They most likely would kick the shit out of EACH OTHER.

And for those who argue “Well mr, smarty pants, Mike has 6 rings!!”
Well, what would happen if Jordan never played with Scottie Pippen?
How many rings would he have won then?

What would happen if Kobe would have never played with Shaq?
How many rings would he have?

I think its all time we realize that this G.O.A.T is a farce, its baloney…
The fact that you cant even compare a big man who has just as much success at mastering his craft (Tim Duncan), should nullify ANY argument of greatest of all time.

If rings are the measuring stick, Bill Russel is the G.O.A.T…oops.

The rules in this era have changed to give perimeter players the advantage, this is not knocking on anyone, Kobe/Lebron included, this is merely saying that they have to deal with a different set of rules, as did Jordan, as did Magic, as did, Russel, Shaq, etc, etc.

So is Kobe the G.O.A.T?
when he gets his 12th ring, holds all scoring records , steals, blocks, and assists, free throws, and rebounds…then maybe.

Until then.

He and Michael Jordan are sitting at the “Best wing players to ever play” table alone…and LeBron is at the kiddie table.
