As you all know I hate Shabu Shabu, but yesterday I was invited to eat at the Grand Opening of Shabu Shabu in Santa Ana right next door to Which Wich?! who would of that. Well anyways from my experience with Shabu before I didn’t like it, everyone said I probably made it differently or added too much sauce I mean come on when you go to restaurants aren’t they suppose to just come out good? As for this place I give it my approval since I usually hate everything this was actually pretty good and will definitely come back. So Thanks to Arthur for the invite and Joe and his family for having us.
Oh Hi Thach! He made sure I made it the CORRECT way.
The Friday coming up is Future Tense Fridays! Our good friends over at Zlogblog.com is throwing it and will have FRSH Gear!!! So come out and try to win them because their will be no more. You’ll be wearing a piece of history that was a part of 7 years in the making! Can you believe that so come out and ride!
With all this fuss about the Mcdonald’s Big Mac vs. Carl’s Jr’s The Big Carl, Jeremy and I had to try it out. As you know wherever Jeremy eats he says its BOMB–even though its not most of the time. He did throw it in the beginning of our meal but as we got into half of the burger there was just too much meat. Maybe because the meat was charcoal who knows but as a result the Big Carl took the L(Lose) something about Big Mac’s middle bun with the shredded lettuce just adds to it. Sometimes too much meat isn’t all that great right Jeremy?
Over the weekend we took a bike ride to Wynn Powersports to pay James a visit for his grand opening. I didn’t have my camera with me but these were taken from Chris’s camera. They had food, drinks and bikes the only thing missing were the girls. I had found out the calender was pushed back to next week so no girls were there to sign anything. I guess that’s what happens when you procrastinate, not good James! but other than that it was fun. They had stunt shows which was pretty awesome, I wished Chris stayed to get photos of that and they raffled off a bunch of prizes and I got free stickers woot woot!
This is by far the COOLEST thing EVERRRRRRR. Thanks to Arlo(Gost Brand) and Todd(Toddland) for this delicious cheeseburger wallet. Luckily it still fit in my skinny jeans thanks to the foam padded buns, smart thinking! This is such a gangsta wallet for a gangsta dude reminds me of back than when I use to run the mean streets of Fountain Valley, Nice gangsta ass place to live. Hustlin’ for that chedda YOUNG MONEY! I wish I had one of these back in high school. I would totally get all the skeezers.
Lately I’ve been going around with my camera just to take photos for my blog and yesterday at a club in Hollywood called Moscow. They made me sign a release form which was pretty weird and they took my business card too but got in for free +2 of my friends so I guess it was pretty cool. Than a few hours went by I had these random girls go up to me to take pics so I thought hey why not? than 2 other guys came up and thats when I knew oh gad… they probably think I’m the photographer for the club–note to self don’t bring a camera into a club.
Last night we went to go check out the Perseids Meteor Shower and what better place to check it out than the scariest place in town, Black Star Canyon Road. As I child I heard rumors about this place being haunted by the Ku Klux Klan. Stories from which they would chase you down with a shot gun if you trespassed into their property. We would borrow our friends Dad’s gun for protection, bring any bb guns and bats we had to protect us. And of course roll like 20 deep. It was so much scarier when I went there the first time, yesterday we didn’t have anything any guns or that many people, there were probably about 7 of us that went. What a waste of time…but at least we got to see 1-4 meteors fall from space hurray! Here’s some more stories based from other peoples encounters. Thanks Wikipedia!
Yesterday as we were driving back from Fedex we saw a Hawaaiin BBQ joint we were going to eat at until we saw Which Wich? next door. We thought why not be crazy and try something new for a change and boy were we in for a treat. This place is similar to The Counter, but you customize sandWICHes instead of burgers. They also have crushed ice–that’s a first, and freshly baked cookies–so good!. I think we’ll be going there a 2nd time today to try to build our perfect WICH.
This will be the last year for the Orange County Fair at the fairgrounds not quite sure what’s going to happen next year but I hope they find another location. This was one of my first jobs before working at FRSH back in 2003, working at the lemonade stand and always coming home smelling like lemons, beats smelling like Boiling Crab! No offense to all my friends that work there. So last Saturday after the sale I came here with a couple of friends to catch the fair before they closed to eat fattening foods and play some carnival games. I didn’t get to try all the food that Tui ate,”Eat At the Fair And Throw Up” - DS, but we managed to eat the blooming onion which everyone loved except me since I don’t even like Ranch. Everything was so pricey this year and for some reason I paid $5 bucks for a photobooth picture when I knew I could get it somewhere else for probably a buck or two. So check out these photos and goodbye to the OC Fair! hopefully the petition we signed will bring you back.
What do you get if you cross Bonnie and Clyde with Fred and Ginger?
More Zooey and Joseph! They made a small little music video of She & Him, Zooey’s band, of “Why Do You Let Me Stay Here?” for the movie (500) Days of Summer. Enjoy!
